Sweden 2004
We were lucky to get three seats on the plane across the Atlantic.
The coldest summer since 1937? Not any more! We brought tropical temperatures
and enjoyed a week of perfect summer weather. This is Malaren's first steps into Lake
Malaren with Mormor Anne's cousing Annika.
Vikings -- Moster Helena, Morfar Peter Mormor Anne och Malaren.
Red currant picking is an August family tradition. If the house suddenly seemed quiet
Malaren could often be found eating currants from behind the bushes.
We visitide many different watering holes to quench the Swedes' thirst for waterplay.

"I go swimming. Bada, Momma."
I think they like each other . . .

Erika. Erika taught Malaren how to eat ice cream.
Sisters.
Gammelmorfar Erik.
Morfar Peter tried to get Malaren to jump in the sprinkler. He ended up doing the
majority of the jumping.
Gammelmormor Lill's sister Monge helped dress new doll.
Laying puzzle with Mormor Anne was a special treat.
Watermelon was something new. She disn't like it.
Baking with Mormor Anne
First glass, popsicle. She got addicted. If she asked enough times, Morfar Peter would
give her two. This is Malaren with Mormor Anne's cousin, Annika.
Party time! The visitors are Annika, Roffe (Morfar Peter's best friend) and Anna
(his wife) and Gammelmorfar Erik.
Homemade apple pie with vanilla sauce. Yummy!
