Fun with Rigatoni Noodles!
Malaren had fun trying to convince me she had casts on her fingers, but then --- voila
--- she'd eat the
noodles and her fingers were miraculously healed! By the Power of Mal! Plus,
the butter all over her
fingers helped the healing process.
The next day, we went to the Coffee Cup for breakfast. For those of you who have not
had the honor
of eating at this landmark establishment --- since 1956 --- make sure you do wehn
you visit. For those
of you have have, your coffee is still there. Since 1956.
So I finally got the smart idea to take Malaren to Quiet Water Beach. It's the north
side of the beach,
the Sound Side. You can see Pensacola in the distance. Sheltered from the Gulf, it is calm
and serene.
Malaren really enjoyed it because there are no waves. She has not learned how to enjoy
waves
(she doesn't like her head getting wet) so when she saw Quiet Water, she yelped for joy
and danced
in the water. I have never seen her so happy at a beach. Good stuff.
As per our routine, we got a cup of hot chocolate at the Starbuck's and headed home.
And, as per
usual, she started falling asleep on the way home. Not, wht's interesting is that she
really didn't fall
asleep. In the following pictures, she's awake --- but ignoring me. Someone is learning
duplicity.
Hey'all! Let me know if these photos are better quality. I doubled their quality, so it
probably took longer
to download (?) but I hope it's worth it.
