| Welcome to the MONSTERS of PENSACOLA website. The project portrays kids as giants, playing on and messing with our fair city's most famous sites. In these sample photos, where you see a green screen, that is where I will photoshop kids in place then reinsert the sky behind them, like the example I made of my daughter with the Dome of the Home (the first image). This project is not limited to my imagination, so your ideas are welcome. Any costumes or props you want to bring to fulfill your imagination are also welcome. Following each photo is a description of what I'd like to see in the shot. |

The photo that started it all, 4 years ago: Malaren towering over the Dome of the Home.
"ROMAN LAW" Two boys dressed in togas, debating like Roman Senators.
"ALCANIZ NOW" A kid dressed in combat gear crawling on his elbows & belly, carrying a plastic M16 underneath the over-pass.
"T-BALL" A boy hitting the water tower with a baseball bat like it's a t-ball.
"PENSACOLA CIVIC DUTY" A kid sitting on this like it's a potty ... which it looks like.
"IKO I-110" Two girls playing patty cake over the overpass.
One kid about to lift the train, the other writing on the bridge with a Sharpie.
"DOMINOES" A kid lining up Dominoes with the hotel as the fourth one.
"DRADLE" Kids in yarmulkas, kneeling behind the temple, spining a dradle on the roof.
A kid placing big-block Legos on the courthouse.
Dunno. Maybe some kids dressed in colonial garb saluting De Luna?
One or two kids rising out of the depths like sea monsters.
Kids praying.
Kids praying.
A princess, wearing a tiara and a holding a scepter, sitting on the mid-roof (the roof above the museum sign) with her arms on the north and south towers, like arm rests.
A kid laying with belly on the roof of Seville Tower reaching out to grab the monument, or flick it with his fingers.
A girl using it as a mirror to check her make-up.
Kids swing dancing on the roof.
A kid leaning with his elbow on the roof looking down at the street below, waving hello.
The canon will be shooting gum balls as kids are catching them in their mouths (a stack of gumball piled up like canon balls on the side)
This is pretty obvious -- "WRECKS THEATER!!!"
King Kong motif, kid hanging off the spire, attacked by Blue Angels.
And finally, everyone's favorite:
At the end of every kid's photo session, I'll ask each one to either jump in the air like they're going to smash something, or be shouting or cursing downward at something. Then I'll assemble all the pics together and but them behind this BP gas station in group catharsis.
So there's a sample. I have other ideas and photographs so far:
